The kcchiefs.com Census Bureau reports that the population of Chiefs Nation is up nearly 1,000 percent. Never mind that Chiefs Nation originated just eight days ago, the membership group is growing at an incredible rate. Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt is not surprised at the number of "citizens" because of the sheer number of Chiefs fans all over the world.

"There's really no way to estimate," says Hunt of how many Chiefs fans exist, adding that it probably numbers in the "hundreds of thousands and perhaps millions." With more than 70,000 season tickets sold every year for more than a decade now, and by team estimations as many as 210,000 different fans who use those tickets every year, it's fair to say that Chiefs fans do indeed number in the millions.

Seats remain for the general public to attend the Chiefs Red Coaters annual draft dinner this coming, Monday, May 1st. Highlighting the evening's dinner will be appearances by team president Carl Peterson and Herm Edwards, head coach.

Emcee Bob Gretz will host a post-draft call-in show on 101 the Fox, KCFX-FM the flagship of the Chiefs Radio Network and draft picks are expected to attend.
