 | ESOL World Outreach wants to create a community of people, both immigrants and North Americans, who will joyfully work together to teach and learn a new language. This community will be grounded in a covenant relationship of caring, laughter, and encouragement, sustained by the knowledge that we serve a God who empowers us to do more than we ask or imagine.
English/Spanish Classes
In July 2006, ESOL World Outreach began a unique kind of English/ Spanish class. In this class, working in pairs or small groups, Americans help Hispanics learn English and Hispanics help the Americans learn Spanish through reading, writing and conversation. The class meets weekly, is free of charge, open to the public, and for all levels of language learners. |
ENGLISH WITH ENERGY with SuperTeacher
In August 2007, ESOL World Outreach sponsored the filming and airing of four thirty-minute episodes of a television program called English with Energy. This high energy show focuses on providing audiences with both entertainment and education.Virginia Smith takes on dual roles in each theme-based episode. Smith first enters the show as “SuperTeacher”, a character whose power is a supersensitive heart that knows when someone is having a problem with English or with American culture. |
